Get Certified in Phono-Graphix!
Our practitioners make a difference in thousands of children's lives every day - in classrooms, clinics, pull-out and RTI programs, bilingual and ESL programs, Waldorf and Montessori schools, pre-schools, home-schools, speech and language pathology practices, volunteer literacy projects and adult literacy programs
Our Phono-Graphix certification courses are designed to show you exactly how to replicate the results achieved at the Read America Clinic in Orlando, Florida, reported in the Orton Annals of Dyslexia and other clinical studies. The Orton Annals of Dyslexia study included 87 children ages six to sixteen, 44% of whom were previously diagnosed as learning disabled. In a twelve hour remedial course, 98% of the children reached grade level reading. The remaining 2% simply needed additional time in therapy. Remediation time averaged only twelve hours. Average gains were just over two years in real word reading and four years in nonsense word reading (decoding). In subsequent work at the clinic, the shortest time in which a client was remediated was six hours and the longest time was 36 hours.
Our courses will prepare you to teach new and emerging readers and to remediate reading problems at any age or ability, clinically one-on-one, in small groups and in classroom settings.
As a certified Phono-Graphix practitioner, you will be eligible to join the professional Phono-Graphix Association of Reading Therapists, allowing you to get exclusive offers, network, interact, and reach out to thousands of potential clients through our website.
Train Online
Over 1.300 teachers and parents have trained online!
In our online course animated sample students provide you with composite personalities, constructed from the years of experience of the program developers. Real students come to life, with real personalities, real auditory processing deficits, poor code knowledge, and a mixed bag of bad strategies. Students Annabel, Donny, and Fiona make all the mistakes participants will typically need to handle in their clinics and classrooms. The program developers appear with appropriate outtakes so that participants get the most out of the students's errors and the Phono-Graphix error correction techniques. Imagine that you could peek in a window and watch one of the program developers giving a lesson. Now you can! You will feel like you know the program developers when you've completed the course, like they led you by the hand through the nature of the code, the nature of the learner, and all the subtleties that make Phono-Graphix the most effective reading program ever used.
Work at your own pace - log on from home, school, or work, and take as long as you wish to complete the course, or you can do it in as fast as ten days if your pace is quick and you have the time to dedicate to it.
It's affordable - our online course is affordably priced, you won't have to worry about travel and lodging, and do not have to miss work to complete it.
It's easy and effective: Online participants can review lectures and demonstrations over and over and at their convenience, and demonstrations are much closer-in than in a large training venue. Participants go through the entire program with a student or students of their own, and can easily ask questions in the course or email the instructor(s) or program developers directly.
Course fee is $830 per person and includes a full kit of instructional materials for working with your students, and shipping within the United States. Substantial discounts are available for groups of 5 or more!

"I enjoyed the format of this training for its unique presentation, which held my attention, and abundant, hands-on practice opportunities. The Phono-graphix method makes sense and execution is clear."
Stephanie Crowley, Speech-Language Pathologist, Bethesda, Maryland
"I am a retired, pre-K Montessori teacher. I also have dyslexia and ADHD. I have always dreamed of starting a tutoring business for older children with alternative learning styles. I believed it was unattainable. This online course has proven invaluable. The individual attention I have received, has been extensive, positive and prompt. Thank you, Erin Duncan, for all you have done for me. You are an amazing women. I have recently launched my tutoring business, and work with several children, ages 5-9! In the near future, I will offer Phono-Graphix tutoring for teenagers and adults, with the help from ’Silver Lining’ kit and support book."
Jane Connor, Chevy Chase, Maryland
"I enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and having the opportunity to practice the lessons prior to implementing them in my classroom during the upcoming school year. Feedback about assignments was especially helpful in my understanding of the program."
Charlene Smith, Bangor, PA
"This course has given me an entirely different strategy for understanding the code. The students I introduced my new learning to were thankful which made our lessons successful."
Steve Haney, elementary special education teacher in Vermont
